Adds the tops and the bottoms
Your child adds fractions the way they add whole numbers — top plus top, bottom plus bottom. One half plus one third becomes two fifths. The answer is smaller than the half they started with, which is the giveaway, and it is worth asking them whether that can be right before telling them anything.
What we saw: adding one half and one third on strips, they shaded 2 of 6 — the two top numbers, ignoring the sizes.
Reports name causes, not scores, and never compare your child to anyone.

The class
Two 45-minute classes a week, live and online, twelve students, in twelve-week terms on the Ontario school calendar. A class runs with at least four students.

First class is the teaching. Second takes up what they got stuck on — questions and worked problems — while it is still in front of them.
The instructor already knows
They walk in with a named account of what each child believes that is wrong, and they use both sessions on it.

What was found, the evidence, and one specific thing to ask your child to show you. It never asks you to teach.
The first thirty families
Closes at thirty families or after thirty days, whichever comes first. Held for as long as your child stays enrolled. Standard is $199 a month — about $25 a class. You read the report before you decide.
