MTH1W, twelve weeks, starting after Thanksgiving. Weeks 1 to 4 repair fractions, integers and proportional reasoning. Weeks 5 to 8 cover algebraic expressions and equations. Weeks 9 to 12 cover linear relations.

Grades 10 to 12
Opens once enough families join. Courses are named by the code your child is enrolled in. Waitlist families get first access to the 30 Early Enrolment places when this course opens.
Principles of Mathematics. Quadratic relations, analytic geometry, and trigonometry.
Foundations of Mathematics. Measurement, similar triangles, trigonometry and linear systems.
Functions. Transformations, quadratics, exponential functions, trigonometry, sequences and series.
Functions and Applications. The same territory, through application.
Foundations for College Mathematics. Trigonometry, quadratics, exponentials, personal finance and data.
Advanced Functions. Polynomial, rational, logarithmic and trigonometric functions.
Calculus and Vectors. Derivatives, curve sketching, and vectors.
Data Management. Counting, probability, statistics and the culminating investigation.
Foundations for College Mathematics. Measurement, geometry, data and personal finance.

From this school year, the EQAO Grade 9 math assessment is 20% of the final MTH1W mark. Semester 1 students write in January.
