Safeguarding
How we keep children safe, and what we will never do to one. These rules govern what gets built and what gets sold.
Who is allowed near a child
- Every instructor is 18 or over.
- Every instructor holds a vulnerable sector check, verified by us before any contact with a child. There is no provisional or pending status.
- Instructors are engaged for a named class. Nobody drops in.
How classes run
- Group classes by default. One to one is listed at $599 a month and is not open for enrolment.
- Classes are not recorded.
- There is no private messaging between an instructor and a child. Communication with a family goes to the parent.
- A parent may sit in on any class their child attends, without arranging it in advance.
What the product will not do to a child
- No score, streak, timer, countdown, rank or percentage — on screen or in what we store.
- Nothing on a child's screen asks them to buy anything, upgrade anything, or ask a parent for money.
- No child holds an account, and no child can navigate the product beyond the item in front of them.
Raising a concern
Write to hello@chronoslearn.com. If a child is in immediate danger, call 911. Concerns about a child's safety or wellbeing in Ontario can also be reported directly to your local Children's Aid Society, which you can do without going through us.
